A Walk on the Duffins Trail in a Freezing -18 Degree Celsius Temperature Outside
And, I enjoyed a beautiful walk
I was feeling down yesterday.
It was so frustrating that I wanted to get out from the hustles and bustles for some time, alone, and find some peace outside.
Not surprisingly, I took the day off immediately. My wife told me not to feel burdened with anything and go outside amongst nature.
I had to, and I did.
So, I searched Google Maps, set the course, drove on the snowy roads, parked the car in front of the Duffins Trail, and embraced the trail with a -18 degree Celsius greeting.
It was quiet.
It was peaceful.
When I arrived, I only heard the gentle waves of Lake Ontario, nothing else.
No sound of cars or buses, no chatters in the park, only nature was murmuring in the city's silence.
And, I found swans floating on the lake water, calm and peaceful.
For a moment, I thought, how would it feel like if I took a shower in the lake water in this freaking cold!
It was just a thought, though!
Come on; it was -18 outside!
A peaceful bliss on the gentle water, serene and soundless, the holy smoke on the water!
The snow stopped when I arrived.
Surprisingly, there was not much snow on the trail. So, it was a pleasant walk altogether.
However, my phone turned off a couple of times due to the extreme cold. The batteries couldn’t take the cold, it seems.
It was sudden, but it was a much-needed walk. Perhaps, I will embrace more of these sudden winter trail walks in the coming days; who knows!
I also captured some motion pictures (videos), and here is a compilation of those in the following.
Belated happy new year, everyone :D
